As the 2023-24 academic year draws to its climax, all of us at the IAUNRC look back at a very productive period. IAUNRC sponsorship of faculty travel for conferences both within the US and internationally facilitated stimulating presentations and discussions of innovative research. Likewise, the center ensured that students requiring post-advanced language instruction received the highest quality of education from IU faculty. Visiting speakers provided lectures, conducted in-person and via the internet, to in-person and virtual audiences, on topics including social entrepreneurship, religious change, folktales, and regime propaganda. Outreach to minority institutions and K-12 ensured internationalization of curriculum and learning. The center’s series on Minorities in Central Eurasian Societies included 8 in-person and electronic lecturers whose erudition about societies from Finland and Estonia, through Iran and Central Asia, to Tibet was shared with global audiences. All of us at the IAUNRC thank our colleagues, patrons, supporters, friends, and audiences.
We invite you to attend, in-person or virtually, the center’s events during the 2024-25 academic year, including our feature series on Environmental Changes across Central Eurasia. Have a splendid summer!
