The Inner Asian and Uralic National Resource Center at Indiana University maintains a collection of DVDs, books, traditional clothing, and other resources that may be loaned for non-commercial use to instructors and students of non-profit educational institutions and to individuals for private use. Photographs
The Center has a collection of professionally framed and mounted photographs suitable for public display, including a featured collection of black and white photographs from Uzbekistan by Zilola Saidova. Center staff can arrange thematic groupings for display such as “Women of Uzbekistan”, “Views of Bukhara”, or “Bukharan Jewish Life”.
Videos, music, and other multimedia
The IAUNRC video collection features award-winning foreign language films from our region, the majority of which have English subtitles. The Center also collects English language documentaries and feature films addressing aspects of our region, such as everyday life, traditional cooking, Islam, and environmental issues. Most films are available as DVDs, but the Center also maintains a legacy collection of films on VHS. In addition, the Center has a collection of CDs featuring various artists from the region.

Books and other publications
Books available for loan include both English language fiction and non-fiction discussing the regions and peoples covered by the IAUNRC, and selections of foreign language literature from our region such as our collection of Kazakh fairy tales. Additionally, there are several illustrated works, children’s books depicting art and other aspects of our region’s cultural heritage.

Clothing and other artifacts
Traditional clothing and artifacts from the region are some of the most beautiful and frequently circulated items in our collection. The Center’s collection includes many distinctive hats from the region, representing such diverse peoples as Mongolians, Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Uyghurs, and more. In addition, the Center has a collection of musical instruments and ritual objects.
