On Thursday, February 22nd, the IU and Bloomington Community came together to celebrate Estonian Independence Day. This event featured an address by Estonian Ambassador to the United States, Mr. Kristjan Prikk, as well as a celebration in honor of the retirement of Professor Emeritus Toivo Raun. The event also included trivia about Estonia and a performance of Estonian songs by the IU Slavic Choir.
The event was organized by the Baltic and Finnish Students Association (BaFSA) at IU, under the supervision of Central Eurasian Studies MA Student Jack Rosswurm, with the help of CEUS Language Coordinator and Estonian Language Instructor Dr. Piibi-Kai Kivik.
