In contemporary times, Nowruz is observed in many countries and cultures from the Middle East, Central Asia, the Uyghur Autonomous Region, and Siberia. The event featured musical performances and poetry readings from students from several of the CEUS languages. Languages represented includes Uyghur, Uzbek, Kazakh, Persian, and Kyrgyz. Afterwards, a dinner was served for participants to enjoy together.
