Navruz 2019

Navruz 2019

On March 24, 2019, the Indiana University and Bloomington communities celebrated Navruz. Navruz is a traditional festival on the vernal equinox marking the Persian New Year and the coming of spring to Central Eurasia. The program, organized by the Navruz Student Association, featured performances from across Central Eurasia and a dinner with regional foods.

The event was supported by several units on campus, including the Inner Asian and Uralic National Resource Center, and featured food from Samira Restaurant.

Happy Navruz 2019!
